roWaves Technologies was founded with the clearest goal to provide quality products to the ham radio community
Mission
roWaves Technologies was founded in 2014 by Andrei – YO6TJJ, with the exact purpose of helping the amateur radio community with quality products, materials and electronic components. roWaves Technologies ™ mainly manufactures, assembles and designs various equipment for amateur radio market and electronics hobbyists: low/medium/high power RF amplifiers (e.g. JUMA 1000W PA1000, 100W+ JUMA PA-100D PA) and various accessories for ham-radio. We also sell RF electronic components: magnetic materials, fixed & variable inductors, RF transistors, quartz crystals & various filters, RF connectors & adapters, various integrated circuits, trimmer capacitors or silver-mica capacitors etc.
2013
The beginnings of roWaves
RFD HF & Microwave is set up as a product-logo for the first 2 (two) products: a HF-VHF amplifier (TWTA-1-120) and a LNA (BGA 50-1000). A small test-stand is designed and built.
2014
First commercial product
Introducing a prescaler / divider into our small portfolio: PMC-12080-1000, with multiple divide ratio and operating frequency range up to 1.65GHz.
2015
Infrastructure & expansion
In 2015 we built a proper test bench in the lab, on which we are doing some tests even nowadays. It was equipped with two working stations. More measurement & testing equipment was also built or purchased during 2015-2022.
2016
A new identity
During 2016, RFD HF & Microwaves becomes roWaves Technologies ™, because we had decided at that time to manufacture all available products for the Romanian market, at first, especially for the YO radio-amateurs.
2018
New products
roWaves Technologies introduced the roW7358-7 SSB 40m receiver and the roWKeySwitch (a navigation keyboard), as well as other RF products. The newly launched website was optimized for e-commerce (www.rowtech.ro) and RF engineering services are introduced in our portfolio.
2019
Electromagnetic field measurement services
roWaves Technologies starts to offer, at the beginning of 2019, engineering services consisting in performing broadband measurements of the electromagnetic field, for the 30Hz-300Hz, 50MHz-3.5GHz frequency domains. We also produced the DSB 80m, 2.5W, ROW-W3690 transceiver (v.1 & v.2).
2020
Good development
In 2020 we started to manufacture (available as kit and finished assembled product) the mcHF SDR transceiver, designed by M∅NKA in UK. We also manufactured a 25W dummy load (DL-25W), a quartz crystal tester (CTROW-130), 3D printed housings, ground-plane antennas or dipoles, for 80 & 20m for ex. We also manufactured coaxial cables assemblies and we established our main product portfolio for amateur radio market.
2021
roWaves Technologies is gaining notoriety on the ham radio market
In 2020 and 2021 we continued to manufacture the M∅NKA mcHF SDR transceiver, we started a collaboration with Finnish Radio team JUMA®RADIO, with legal rights to manufacture various JUMA products: the direct conversion receiver (JUMA RX-1) or the linear power amplifier, with digital control, 100W, PA-100D. We brought & manufactured accessories for transceivers (USB-C power supplies for mcHF / FT-817 / KX-2/3) and we brought into stock electronic components for radio amateurs: magnetic materials like iron powder & ferrite toroids from Fair-Rite™ / Micrometals™, RF transistors, variable coils, F.I. transf. 455KHz / 10.7MHz, ceramic filters / resonators / quartz crystals, RF connectors & adapters, RF integrated circuits for RF applications etc.
